Extended Family of Characters

I think its amusing that before I really knew the people I now consider to be family, I knew their characters.

This is Shaz, (or Judas, as i have been known to call him) an actor and a sneaky two timing bastard face. But i can't help but love him and want to punch him in the face. Okay. Mostly punch him in the face...
This is Maho. A crazy girl with a split personality, a partner in crime if there ever was three. Mahokou, Akuma, and Ishkigal. Mahokou who is the interpretation you see below is fun crazy unpredictable. Akuma the ever present inner child really just needs a hug and a toy. Ishikgal the angry vengeful and dark side. Each form a part of one very close friend.
This is Gwen and Kricket. This person gets two characters because she has two that really define how i got to know her as a friend. First is Kricket. The quite insane, strong, confused and slightly gullible frog thing...And then there is Gwen who is the exact opposite of Kricket. Gwen is cold, calculating, smart, you can't get one by her. They are both above all else passionate about everything around them.

Unfinished Desere and her uncle

After some time i was thinking about my favorite alter ego's past and this gentleman came into view. Old black sheep of the family acted as a father figure to Desi. She is the way she is because of him she'll say if you ask her. He is as of right now unfinished because i urge to draw her as a child was too great. This is her at maybe seven or eight, before she had to start wearing glasses.

Happy Valentines Day

Quillian here has been kind enough to get me a bouqet of blue roses. Being a character in my head it makes it easy for him to know that those are my favorite next to tiger lillies.
The blue roses come from something my father used to do with my mom. There was some old silent black and white really bad italian thief of bagdad movie. In the movie the female lead gets deathly ill and the only way she can be saved is if the arabian prince goes into the depths of hell literally in order to get a single blue rose to save her. In the story he gets there and all the roses are dead. There is only a white flower. He goes back defeated and distraught, kneels by her side and says "if you love me pretend that this rose is blue" and the rose turns blue, and heals her, and they live happily ever after.
To me that is the ultimate in happy, sappy, romance. I unfortunatly like it that way though. So unable to bring blue roses to my mothers grave this year. Quill knowing i am upset about that, brought me these. He's a good imaginary dragon.
P.S. He came out slightly cross-eyed!

My good friend Erin ha been hounding me for the past two months to make a comic. here are the begining of it.

Next week i am going to be going to new york to sit in on a meeting with discovery kids. I am excited, and in my excitement created this little guy. This, is Po. He is the youngest of three brothers who are little goblins. The oldest being Zap, and the middle being Tap. Po, being the youngest is the most innocent and unlike his older brothers just enjoys causing mischeif.

Hello. These are just a few sketches from my life drawing classes.
The model came in dressed as an egyptian king, we spent the whole day drawing him and doing studies. It was fun. Above is the first out of maybe ten drawings i did. This started off being a quick sketch but after i realized he was holding the pose i tried to finish it up a bit.

My friend Carolyn posing for us to draw due to the fact that the model flaked. It's okay, the model that week was scary.

These are from this friday. just 30 second sketches of the model.

Decided to finally get one of these things and use it as a sketch blog. Hopefully once i do someone out there will like what they see.
